cuba!

Green Interior 2002

Deco Stairwell, Havana

I love the way photographer, Michael Eastman, sees Cuba. I'm not wasting a second, packing my bags now!

letterpressing

Over the past few months, I have taken up an apprenticeship in Berkeley (And will begin another in June). My duties, so far, consist of archiving work done at the shop, along with designing and printing my wedding suite, which we call "practice."

A few things I have learned:

Don't print too quickly, take time to look at every print.

A little bleed is ok, as long as it isn't text!

Let your tools dictate the design.

Begin with what you have, build your design from there.

When setting type, set your longest line first. (This often changes once I start.)

Everyone I have met in this printing community are very kind and generous.

to have and to hold

D and I are planning our wedding for this fall, and I'm loving the bounty of websites with useful tips and pretty inspiration. (I've resolved to keep better track of where I find things, too.)

A simple lace dress is hard to find. This bride's is stunning & looks vintage?

Peach oxfords=instant swoon!

Two of our favorite things: carrot cake & figs! I'd like to incorporate things into our wedding that we can replicate for special days in the future--like a favorite recipe.

These simple blooms are my favorite. (I'll always be a sucker for neutrals.) Plus, I just love how this bride's dress floats above the autumn leaves.

I love the idea of incorporating photos from our parent's and grandparent's weddings-- a beautiful gesture to our heritage and traditions.

Twinkle lights are good for any occasion, especially a swank outdoor reception.
